Photo courtesy Ford Motor Company   This week we'd like to announce that we're once again involved in producing products for the Ford Racing Cobra Jet package, to be unveiled officially later this year.  For the second time in as many years, our lightweight and attractive Flush-Mount Louvers (PN S297-300 for 2010, PN S197-300 for 05-09) are going to be on this beast, and rumor has it this car is going to be running 9's off of the showroom floor!! Photo courtesy Ford Motor Company   Also this week, we're very happy to announce that our new Atlas Copco scroll compressor, available through Robert Arthur Machinery Florida, has been installed to keep up with our growing demand for clean compressed air and has immediately made an incredible difference in our manufacturing shop's working conditions.  Prior to this, we had regular piston compressors which were noisy, generated a lot of heat that our air conditioning had to deal with, and generally were not in step with the rest of our modern equipment.  Our new compressor, a scroll unit, is about the same size as a large refrigerator, and just as cool and quiet!  Digitally controlled and noise dampened, this is the "Cadillac" or compressors, and we're very happy to have it here to match the rest of our ultra-modern CNC manufacturing equipment. This week we are transitioning most of our CNC machines into new production runs of our Tru-Billet products from the recent runs of our popular Fuel Doors and Replacement Window Switch Plates.  In-between the runs, we squeezed in a job for our friends in the defense communications industry, and have completed primary manufacturing of our 2010 Flush-Mount louvers for Ford’s Cobra Jet program.  After manufacturing is complete, we will be laser-engraving the parts, followed by paint work before shipping completed sets to Ford for assembly on their niche line.   Product News Coming to a website near you! After a long run in our lineup, we have decided to discontinue the Polished & Clear Anodized finish on our Tru-Billet products.  Many customers have had difficulty telling the difference between it and our satin finish, which has been incredibly popular.  Since we want to end our polished / anodized finish on a high note, we have moved them to our garage sale section at a deep discount to move these out and make room for more new products that are in the pipeline.  Check it out in our “Garage Sale” section of our website!  Also, we have LOWERED the regular price of many of our Tru-Billet products in our triple-chrome plated finish, so check our new lower prices throughout our website!  Supplies of polished finish are LIMITED !! SilverHorseRacing.com 24 Oct 2009 SHR Vol X iSSUE 17 SEMA Wrap Up     SHR Newsletter Volume X Issue 17 November 20, 2009     Thank you for subscribing to the SilverHorse Racing news.  This week, we’ve got reports from the SEMA show, new products that we are making right here in the USA, and of course some great deals for all of our subscribers!  Show / Race News  SEMA Show a home run!  The 2009 SEMA show was a once again a success for our team, as we traveled via truck, plane, and sometimes even walked across this beautiful country to get to where we needed to be.  After dealing with a flat tire in the middle of the desert just miles from the outskirts of Las Vegas, we arrived at the show in plenty of time to set up our booth.  This year, we were within a stone's throw of the Ford booth, where they unveiled the 2010 Cobra Jet show car, and were also just a couple spaces away from Shelby Performance Parts, but even though they had leased booth space at the show and are only minutes away in Henderson, they decided for some reason at the last minute to not attend.  It was an odd site seeing the empty space filled by a Dodge show car, especially when we were able to make a 2500 mile trip to be in attendance in our booth.  Rumors were flying, but none could be substantiated enough for us to report on.  Also we saw some of our competitors who walk SEMA to check out what's new that they can copy, but since they don't exhibit there, we politely let them know that we knew they were checking out some of our upcoming releases - at which time they normally scurried away into the crowds without so much as a goodbye!    At this year's show, we were able to see many new dealers, customers, as well as familiar faces of dealers, customers, and suppliers we've been doing business with for years.  A lot of new products were unveiled at this year's show, some of which we'll talk more about below.  Our crew had a great time, and it seemed that even with an uncertain economy, the show was well attended.  We now have 12 new dealers as a result of this year's  SEMA show, some as far away as WA state and our first dealer in Mexico!   A lot of people were asking about the "for sale" signs on our 2005 Development car (#05).  But by the end of the show on Friday, a new owner would be taking the keys to our show and track car.  Shown here is Sammy, Marcello, and Lynn closing the deal so that we could make delivery of the car on the return trip cross-country.  Now in a new home, we're busy with starting the process on our 2010 Mustang, which will soon be wearing the flag of our team at shows and events in the coming year.  We wish Sammy the best with his new ride, and we're sure this is not the last we'll see of this 2005 Mustang, as it once again made the latest issue of 5.0 in their coverage of Mustang Week 2009.         Shop Talk Always Made in the U.S.A.
